Gen. 22: 1-2...Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am." Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

I am getting a real understanding of what happened here with Abraham. He was being tested as to who was first and most important in his life...God or Isaac.

I understand that because I am a mother of four beautiful children, two sons, two daughters, and I knew that above all peoples and things God had to be first and God had to be God. He had to be first and second and third until I could hear from Him and trust Him with these four beautiful children given to me to raise, to teach them about Him, to love, and then to give them back to Him so He can put them on the Potter's Wheel!

One of my beautiful children have been caught up in a trap of Satan, and is now using a heavy drug that is causing his mind to think things that are not true. He has been in this bondage for some time now, and I have had to take him and lay him at the feet of Jesus on the Cross, and walk away. I love him so much that I know that only Jesus can help him now. I can only hinder the progress and purpose that God has for him in his life. This was one of the most difficult things I have ever been asked to do by my Father...but I knew this is what He wanted me to do...just as Abraham knew he had to sacrifice his son.

Is there anything too hard for the LORD?  No. There is nothing too hard or difficult for Him. But...when we want change, we must be renewed in our minds by changing the way we think and changing the things we do that is keeping us in bondage, and we must want what He wants for us...to agree with Him.

We must trust Him, and keep standing as we move in the direction He is ordering our steps in. We must choose to do that thing that is right and good in His sight...There is nothing too hard or difficult for Him and when we allow the Holy Spirit to teach, lead and direct our steps...it will make things not so hard nor difficult for us either.

There will be times we don't want to go the way He is telling us to go, but when we believe in Him, we will find ourselves walking in a peace that really does pass all understanding. When we obey Him and do His will, letting go of what seems impossible to us, He takes over and does the impossible. Just let go and let God have His way and say.

We pause and ask ourselves, "What is more important in my life today? What is it that I need most? Or more importantly, what is it that You have for me to do today, according to the purpose You have placed me right where I am today Father?"   Be encouraged and blessed in knowing that when You put all things in His hands, and cast all your cares to Him, you will have peace.
